Louisa Squires, MA
Marriage & Family Therapist
1-408-380-3010
By keeping abreast of the latest treatment developments I can offer my clients the best services possible.
Services
I specialize in helping teens and adults overcome the impact of abuse, neglect and childhood trauma, single incident trauma, and growing up in a dysfunctional family. Areas of focus inlclude stress management, PTSD, anxiety and panic, depression, self esteem, relationship issues, and anger management. I am also pleased to provide services for a variety of other mental health concerns, including substance abuse, life transition, and grief and loss. My therapeutic approach relies largely on gentle mindfulness- and somatic (or body-oriented) treatment approaches, particularly Sensorimotor Pscyhotherapy, because they offer the necessary elements to heal the legacy of trauma and attachment injury.

Therapy Session
Sessions are generally held weekly for 50 minutes. It is natural to want to know how long therapy will last; however, creating lasting change depends on many factors. It is my commitment to my clients that therapy will last no longer than is necessary.
Fees
Call me for my current fees. I offer a limited number of time slots for a sliding fee for those experiencing financial hardship. I am an out of network provider, and can provide clients with a superbill, or invoice, that they submit to their insurance company in the event their policy provides for reimbursement.
